John was born in Brooklyn and moved to Staten Island as a child where he now resides.  John has been happily married to his wife Christine since May 20, 1995.  They have three beautiful children named Christina, Jacklyn and John II.  John is a hard working husband/father outside and inside his home.  John’s personal goal is to share family values and provide for his children today and in the future.  When John is not spending quality time with his family, he enjoys watching football, reading and watching movies.

John Calabrese was inducted into the MetLife Hall of Fame as the youngest member in company history in December, 2007. 

Throughout his career, John has provided financial products and services for thousands of clients. In addition to earning distinctive awards, John has achieved a golden level of sales excellence and was recognized 13 times at Chairman’s Council and 5 times at President’s Conference, MetLife’s recognition conferences for its top representatives. As a result, John is a Life Member of President’s Conference and President’s Council.

Above and beyond these distinct honors, John has received industry recognition for his devotion to financial services. He is a Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), the premier association of financial professionals. The members of this elite association are insurance and financial services professional from around the world who meet annual production requirements and strict ethical standards.

John is committed to professional lifelong learning and keeping current with the most up to date information in the financial services industry. Evidence of this dedication is that John has earned the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow designation from The American College, and the Certified in Long-Term Care designation form the Corporation for Long-Term Care, along with Life/Health, Series 6, 63, and 7 Licenses.

John has been involved in the financial services industry for over 25 years.  Mr. Ross delivers a vast amount of knowledge to his clients through wealth planning strategies. John earned his degree in finance from Elizabeth Seton University in Yonkers, New York.  He also earned the designations of ChFC(Chartered Financial Consultant) and LUTCF ( Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow) from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.  John has occasionally been asked to speak in front of such organizations as the Brooklyn Bar association, AARP of Staten Island, as well as the JCC on estate planning issues.  He has also been featured as a guest speaker on CNN the Your Money Show, and The Alzheimer’s Foundation cable show.

John is known as being a top Advisor in the Tri-state area and is a member of the Society of Financial Services Professionals, The New York City Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and the prestigious Million Dollar Round table organization.

John holds licensing for Life & Health in NY, NJ, CT, FL, CA, DE, TX, GA, and his Series 6, 7, & 63 securities licenses in NY, NJ, CT, FL, CA,TX  & GA, and is an Investment Advisor representative in NY & NJ.

  Aside from his passion in the financial services arena, John also finds time for community and Church involvement; John sits on the board of the Joseph VerdinoField of Dreams Foundation, and is a Eucharistic minister with Our Lady Help of Christians Church. He also enjoys coaching youth football in his spare time.

John resides in Staten Island with his lovely wife Jules and their three active boys Johnathan, Brandon and Devin.  John’s hobbies are the occasional game of Golf, Bowling, Racquet Ball and a good game of Chess.

 Billy has over 12 years of industry experience with MetLife.  He holds licensing for Life and Health in NY, NJ, CA, FL and Series 6, 7 and 63 securities licenses in NY, NJ, FL and is an Investment Advisor representative in NY, NJ and OH.

Billy is a graduate of Wagner College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.  He is also a member of The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.  When he is not spending time with his wife and sons, Billy enjoys playing soccer and fishing.

Rich has been in the insurance industry for the past 9 years.  He holds licensing for Life and Health, Series 6, 7 and 63.  He is licensed to sell Life, Accident and Health & Variable Annuities in NY, CA, DE, NJ, FL, MD.  Rich is also an Insurance Advisor Representative.

Rich is a graduate of Long Island University, CW Post Campus.  He is a member of The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.  Rich has been recognized by MetLife for achieving their Leaders Conference award.  He has also received the industry’s prestigious Million Dollar Round Table award.  MDRT membership is recognized internationally as the standard of Sales excellence in the life insurance and financial services business. 

Rich is a resident of Long Beach, Long Island. He is happily married to his wife, Kellie since 2006.  When Rich is not spending time with Kellie, he enjoys golfing, reading and spending time on the beach.

Rich believes that being a financial advisor is all about building relationships with his clients.  By learning more about them and their needs, he is able to offer more personalized advice and service.  Rich will work with you and your tax and legal advisers to help you select the most appropriate product solutions to suite your specific needs and circumstances.

Michelle has 25 years of industry experience, the past 2 years spent with MetLife.  She holds licensing for Life and Health,  Series 7, 24 and 63 securities licenses.

Michelle’s philosophy is  “The client comes first”.  She believes in developing an individual relationship on a personal level with each client to determine the most effective strategy and products to achieve the client’s goal.

Michelle resides in Staten Island with her husband of 20 years, Neal , and their daughter, Stephanie.  She has coached softball and soccer and participates in fund raisers for her daughters school.  In her leisure time, she enjoys tennis and running.  Michelle is an avid community volunteer and business leader.  She is a member of the Executive Women’s Council of Staten Island Economic Development Corp [SIEDC], Women in Insurance and Financial Services [WIFS] and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors [NAIFA].

After graduating from St. John’s University,   Prof. Macri went to work as a financial   advisor for John Hancock Financial Services. After gaining experience in the field, he decided to join his father who was the president / owner of Total Estate Programs. Total Estate Programs is an independent financial consulting firm located on Staten Island which deals primarily with individuals and small business owners.

In 1995 Dan assumed the role of president / owner of Total Estate Programs. Over the years, the business has expanded to provide additional services for its clients such as: asset management, pension & retirement planning and college funding using the latest and most innovative products available.

In addition to having a successful business career that spans nearly two decades, Prof. Macri is also very active in the Staten Island community. Since 2000 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of The Italian Club of Staten Island Foundation, Inc., a local non-profit organization. Dan served as the president of the organization for the past two years. His current role as Executive Director keeps him busy as the liaison between his organization, other non-profits and the Staten Island Non-Profit Association. Through this interaction the organizations share ideas, best practices and talent to serve the needs of the community.

Dan has been an integral part of the MBA program as an Adjunct Assistant Professor since the spring 2005 semester. His area of specialty is Finance and he has had the opportunity to have taught most of the courses in this discipline.

Most recently, Dan has joined the team at John Calabrese Financial, an office of MetLife, where he will use his 22 years of financial services industry experience to head up it’s Wealth Management Division.  Dan is Life, Disability and Health Insurance licensed in NY, NJ, PA, NC, FL, AZ, TX and CA and Securities exams 6,7,24,63 and 65 registrations.

Matthew has been in the financial services business for the past 10 years. He holds licensing for Life, Health, Series 7, 63, and 65. He is licensed to sell Life, Accident and Health, Variable Annuities, & WRAP accounts in NY, NJ, & FL. Matthew is also an Insurance Advisor Representative.

Matthew is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickson University’s prestigious Silberman’s Business School with a major in Business Marketing. After completing his studies, Matthew immediately earned his financial licenses and became an independent broker for Client Advisory Solutions. After three years in the industry, Matthew accepted a position at one of the largest international banking institutions in the world and served as a Relationship Manager to their high net worth clientele. After seven years of service with the bank, Matthew joined John Calabrese Financial.

Matthew was born, raised, and is a current resident of Staten Island, New York. He is happily married to his wife, Marissa since 2006. Matthew is the extremely proud to be the father of two beautiful daughters, Camryn and Casey. When Matthew is not spending time with his family he enjoys playing baseball, golf, and reading about U.S. history.

Matthew believes that the most important aspect of being a great financial advisor is to be open and honest during every interaction with the client. Dan Buckley

Dan began his financial services career in 1994 as a consumer banker/mortgage specialist for Republic National Bank of New York and worked his way to the position of assistant treasurer/registered representative before making the leap to MetLife.   In 2000, Dan joined MetLife Securities, Inc. as a general securities principal in the New Accounts Department. He moved to the equity desk at Nathan and Lewis’ Madison Avenue location in November of 2001 in time to be an integral member of the team during the consolidation of the trading desks of the broker/dealer. In May 2003, became branch manager in the preferred brokerage department, focusing on orphaned and employee accounts. In 2004, Dan joined the MetLife Broker-Dealer Sales group as an Internal Sales Specialist and was promoted to Regional Sales Manager in 2008. He currently holds Series 4,6,7,24,53,55 and 65 Finra Licenses and is Life Accident and Health Registered in New York and New Jersey.

Dan is a graduate of St. John’s University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He resides in Staten Island. His most enjoyable moments are spent with his beautiful wife Danielle daughter Samantha and son Patrick.  


 Lori Epstein

Lori is responsible for Advanced Markets for the MetLife and NEF Field Force. Lori and her Group provide sophisticated estate, business, and retirement planning case design assistance to the top tier of producers and the firms in the MetLife Enterprise. Lori’s responsibilities also include support for planning for families with special needs children or others through MetLife’s MetDESK program. (Division of Estate Planning for Special Kids) Lori is a driver behind MetLife’s policy standards and its value proposition as they relate to estate, business, and retirement planning. Lori is actively engaged in all aspects of estate and business planning training of the MetLife Field force.

She is also involved in numerous projects related to the general support of MetLife’s topproducers. Lori is sought after both internally and externally as a knowledgeable and dynamic speaker. Prior to assuming this role, Lori has served in various positions within the Estate and Business Planning Organizations including responsibility for Estate & Business Planning Training as well as Field Support. Prior to joining MetLife in 1993, Lori maintained a private law practice in Manhattan concentrating in trusts and estates, estate and business planning, elder law and real estate.

Lori is a graduate of Hofstra University and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law of Yeshiva University. She is a member of the Estates, Trusts, and Surrogates Court Practice Section and Elder Law Committee of the New York County Lawyers Association. She is also a member of  AALU’s (Association for Advanced Life Underwriting) Business Insurance and Estate Planning Committee and their Membership Committee. Lori has chaired, moderated, and spoken at Bar Association seminars and continuing legal education courses.


 Jacqueline Feminella
Marketing Coordinator

Jackie is the marketing and event planner for John Calabrese Financial and has been with MetLife for over 10 years.  Jackie plans and oversees all educational events and workshops that we do, as well as special client appreciation events.

Jackie helps develop and deliver a more effective brand message for the team.  She also is in charge of developing and maintaining all of our marketing materials, website and advertising.  Jackie is always looking for opportunities to grow awareness of our firm in the marketplace.

Jackie resides in Staten Island with her husband of 23 years, Drew and their four sons, Joseph, Andrew, Vincent and TJ.

 Teri Galimi
Personal Assistant

Teri is our relationship manager and has been with MetLife for over 20 years.  Teri is responsible for all customer service  and  maintains the calendars of our advisors. She is often one of the first people to speak to our prospective clients.

Teri keeps a full calendar while clearly communicating with clients and prospects to ensure professional assistance in every way.  Teri also updates the database with all the appointment information as well as any new client information. She also facilitates and attends our workshop events to help ensure the success of these events.
